CECO ENVIRONMENTAL'S KIRK & BLUM UNIT AWARDED ORDER VALUED AT MORE THAN $2 MILLION

NEW YORK, June 18, 2002 - CECO Environmental Corp. (NASDAQ: CECE) Phillip DeZwirek, Chairman and CEO announced today that the company's Kirk & Blum unit received an order valued at over $2 million to supply equipment for a cement production facility located in the Midwestern United States. The project will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2002.

Kirk & Blum will be the general contractor with total scope responsibility for equipment installation, concrete, civil work and structural supports. Two of Kirk & Blum's divisions will be working jointly on various aspects of this project.
